My name is Myisha, and for as long as I can
remember, I have been a crafter. Making things has
always come naturally to me; when I was young, I
made press-on fingernails out of white paper and
Elmer’s glue. I was so crafty my friends teased me
about it and gave me the ever-affectionate nickname,
“Arts & Crafts”. I knew that someday I wanted to
have my own business, and that wherever my business
path took me, it would mainly be based on me selling
my handmade creations. SpringCart Designs has been
my secret passion for years, and in 2005, I finally took
the plunge. My cousin Len is one of the most creative
people I know, and SpringCart is a combination of our
last names. It was her idea, which I have loved from
the first moment I heard it. In January of 2008 we
transformed our online jewelry store into a boutique
filled with distinct, simplistic, modern life accessories .
We started our venture by going to local flea markets
to sell our custom baskets and gift wrap. That
experience was a natural one, as I equally love creating
and giving gifts. My brain is always busily searching
for the next fun project, and one day, I passed by a
beading magazine when I was out shopping. Since
beading was one of the things on my, “I Gotta Be
Creative List,” I was intrigued. I flipped through the
magazine and was convinced that I could totally do
this bead thing.
There was a bead shop near my home, so one Sunday
afternoon, I went inside this amazing place full of
natural gemstones and a vast array of crystals. The
shop seemed magically meant to get me going, as from
the moment I arrived I was hooked. Finally, my
creativity had a home.
So here I am now, creating one of a kind jewelry that
speaks to individualistic expression.. I hope that you
